Shachar Gidron

Shachar is an R&D leader with over 20 years of experience spanning software engineering and team leadership. He brings a rare blend of deep technical hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure and low-level systems with a genuine passion for building both products and the people behind them.

His career began with 12 years in Israel's elite cyber security defense community, where he held multiple engineering and leadership roles. During this period, he contributed to three projects awarded the Israeli Defense Prize, a distinction selected by a ministerial committee and conferred by the President of Israel.

Shachar then spent nearly six years at Via, a global transportation technology leader, where he was part of the company's hyper-growth journey. He led the Routing team, managed strategic external integrations — including autonomous vehicles and NYC taxi systems — and ultimately founded Via's Sales Engineering function.

Over the following five years, Shachar served as VP R&D at three startups: Model9, which modernized legacy mainframe data management through the cloud; Sayata, an insurtech company operating in the cyber insurance market; and Euno, an early-stage AI startup focused on data governance and AI context.

He now serves as VP R&D at Linx Security and was drawn to the company by deep personal and professional trust in its leadership team, and by a product and market he sees as exceptionally well-positioned in today's global cybersecurity landscape.
