Summary

monday.com's Global IT team manages identity for around 3,200 employees across 13 offices, all while meeting SOX and ISO compliance requirements as a public company. After evaluating five vendors, the team chose Linx to replace manual access processes with automation, connect identity to their monday.com service desk, and gain visibility into both human and non-human identities in one place.

About monday.com

monday.com launched in 2014 as a Work OS and has since grown into an AI work platform used by organizations of every size and industry. Lior Zagury, Senior Director for Global IT, leads the team responsible for the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, ongoing support, SaaS application management, and identity.

The Challenge

Running identity for 3,200 employees across 13 offices meant monday.com's IT team needed a platform that could keep the business efficient at scale. Without a platform for this modern environment, they were stuck doing tedious manual work.

As a public company, monday.com is also subject to compliance frameworks like SOX and ISO, which demand significant time and oversight.

"We are also regulated by different compliance regulations like SOX and ISO, and all of that compliance requires a lot of time and effort. [...] We needed something to help us to run all this identity in one place."

The team evaluated five different identity vendors. Most fell short of what a fast-moving organization like monday.com expected from a new tool.

"There was a variety of different things that didn't really suit our needs. [...] We want all the good stuff and all the new features, and Linx wanted to take this mission and help us to build these amazing things."

The Solution

One of the first things that stood out to Zagury's team was Linx's AI Copilot. After integrating their applications, the team could get answers to identity questions in just a few clicks, answers that had previously been difficult to obtain.

"This is what was my 'aha' moment. I understood, okay, this is something that I can work with."

monday.com runs its internal service desk on its own platform, and pairing that with Linx created a tightly connected workflow. When an employee submits a ticket, Linx is triggered automatically, and the user is provisioned with access based on the correct profile, no manual steps required.

"On one hand, when someone is submitting a ticket, then Linx is triggered, and then automatically, the user is getting the access with all the profiles that we built."

That visibility gives the team room to make more informed decisions and build increasingly autonomous processes, keeping humans in the loop only where it matters.

"Now that I have the visibility, I can take much more smarter decisions and understand exactly what I want to do before I'm doing that. And then eventually creating much more autonomous, automatically process that I can do and run without human intervention sometimes and connecting the humans in the loop."

The Impact

With Linx, monday.com brought human and non-human identity together in one place, giving finance, operations, IT, and employees a shared, consolidated view.

"I think in every pillar that you are looking at, either you're looking from the financial part, from the technology part, from our SOX and IT, everyone is super happy and helping them to reduce the time and effort instead of doing this manual work."
  • Reduced manual work across identity and access provisioning
  • Faster answers to identity questions through the AI Copilot
  • Automated provisioning triggered directly from employee service tickets
  • Unified visibility into human and non-human identities
  • Stronger alignment across finance, operations, IT, and employees
  • Streamlined support for SOX and ISO compliance
"I think this is what makes it so impactful and so powerful, because you're just connecting all the dots, which is sometimes was very hard to do."
